HDCVI Gen II cameras

Dahua Technology has introduced HDCVI Gen II cameras, taking a step up into HD over Coax 2.0 era.

“HD over Coax 2.0 is a concept, but also a fact,” said Tim Shen, marketing director at Dahua Technology. “The inspiring market acceptance and feedback drive us to keep innovative to bring out more benefits to the market.”

HDCVI Gen II camera features a high performance sensor and Dahua in-house chipset DH5000, which combines the image signal processor (ISP) and TX chipset, rendering an impressive performance improvement. The new cameras cannot only provide clear and crisp images at 1080p and 720p, but also an outstanding night visual effect.

Moreover, their wider dynamic range can better cope with places of strong lighting contrast. Meanwhile, Gen II inherits convenient functions of previous HDCVI models, such as HD/SD switch and OSD menu.

As for camera types, in addition to the fixed lens cameras, the CVI family adds 2.7 mm to 12 mm motorised (-Z) and varifocal (-VF) series this time to further meet the market demand. As for motorised ones, which have been expected for a long time by the market, Dahua adopts an optimised algorithm to realise faster and more accurate focus for instant and convenient adjustment.

There are seven models in various designs, including eye-balls, IR-bullet and domes with IP66 waterproof and IK10 vandal-resistance helps cameras to withstand strict environment condition and sabotages.

The HDcctv Alliance’s HDCVI 2.0 standard is based on HDCVI technology, which is to say Dahua is dedicated to a 100% sure plug ‘n play remote control of any camera from any compliant DVR among manufacturers. “Dahua advocates interoperability, and the cooperation with HDcctv Alliance accelerates the development to HD, which, undoubtedly, helps our growing customer base to enjoy more of the benefits of HD surveillance,” Shen added.
