Cape Town Retail Risk Management Breakfast

October 2014 News & Events, Conferences & Events

Hi-Tech Security Solutions in partnership with The Consumer Goods Council Risk Initiative will be hosting an invitation-only breakfast in Cape Town on Friday 24th October 2014, focusing on the security issues the retail industry in South Africa faces.

The event will consist of breakfast and four presentations by experts in the retail risk management field, as well as an opportunity to network with colleagues and peers in the exhibition area. The exhibition area itself will contain tabletop displays from security companies involved in retail security, allowing attendees to catch up on the latest technology and services on offer to the retail market.

The keynote presentation will be by Dr Graham Wright, previously of Business Against Crime South Africa (BACSA). Dr Wright will be speaking on combating crime-related risk in the retail industry, based on research from the Consumer Goods Council (CGC).

The event is aimed at people and companies actively involved in securing retail environments, such as security, risk or operations managers responsible for protecting retail centres as well as system integrators who design and install security systems for these businesses, from standalone stores through to malls and franchise operations. The aim is not to present product or service-related information, but to highlight the risks this industry faces and best practices in resolving them while enhancing the efficacy of your business.

Presenters will also look beyond security, delving into how security systems and technology can also be used to deliver business benefits and support revenue growth.

This promises to be the retail event of the year. To secure an invitation or to find out more, please contact Vivienne Dorrington at +27 (0)11 543 5800, or email [email protected]
