The Paxton Group has announced the integration of its networked access control system, Net2, with Avigilon Control Center (ACC) video management software. The integration will enable users to manage building security more easily through a unified security centre.
The integration with ACC provides users with a complete operating experience, which includes the benefits of both access control and video management software under a single interface. ACC efficiently captures, manages and stores high-definition surveillance video while intelligently managing bandwidth and storage, enabling security professionals to manage video footage from an unlimited number of analogue and megapixel cameras. Features include the Alarm Gateway software component, which allows users to monitor access control alarms in the ACC Client.
In addition the video integration software component enables users to view video associated with access control events within the Net2 system, providing valuable video verification in emergency situations and helping users reduce false alarms and related costs.
The Net2 product offering is already proving popular in South Africa, offering centralised administration and control of sites ranging from one to hundreds of doors, and thousands of users.
Dan Drayton, Paxton Access sales manager, said: “We believe that we have delivered a winning solution to South Africa with the integration of Paxton’s Net2 access control with Avigilon’s high-definition surveillance solutions. We look forward to receiving feedback from our installers.”
