Analogue CCTV users can now enjoy HD resolution with HDTVI or High Definition Transport Video Interface technology which enables up-to 500 m latency-free 1080p video transmission over coax. The additional advantage of HDTVI is the seamless compatibility with traditional SD cameras, Hikvision IP cameras and HDTVI-compliant DVRs.
HDTVI technology is ideally suited to upgrading existing standard definition systems using existing coax cabling which result in lower installation cost while retaining the simplicity and functionality of standard analogue equipment. The Hikvision Turbo HD DVR offers simultaneous connections to network, analogue and Turbo HD cameras, auto-detecting the incoming signal and future expansion of the HDTVI system can include IP network cameras and analogue cameras.
HDTVI technology guarantees up-to 500 m of high-quality and reliable transmission at 720p / 1080p via coaxial cable. Conventional analogue cameras cannot achieve this resolution in its current format and HD-SDI struggle with storage and long distance capability without the need for additional HD-SDI extenders and repeaters.
Hikvision HDTVI technology adheres to the HDTVI open standard which guarantees trouble-free connection to other HDTVI-compliant cameras and DVRs. The Hikvision Turbo HD DVRs can connect with traditional SD analogue cameras and all Hikvision Turbo HD cameras can access third-party DVRs equipped with HDTVI technology from other manufacturers.
