Gemalto has been ranked first in ABI Research’s latest competitive assessment of leading suppliers for government and healthcare electronic documents such as smart cards and passports, as well as associated solutions and services. The report that established Gemalto’s top ranking takes into account share of the ID market plus the following qualitative criteria:
* An innovative and comprehensive portfolio of platforms and services for governments and citizens.
* Advanced production capabilities and service delivery.
* Best list of references and the company’s ability to positively impact the development of the government ID market.
In addition, ABI recognised that Gemalto has been extremely proactive in promoting and illustrating the benefits of electronic documents technology and digital ID for the public sector. The company actively contributes to international standards as well as industry groups, and recently founded the Secure Identity Alliance together with other digital ID companies.
