The GBC by Kalatel PIR camera is a double-duty surveillance tool that marries the detection capability of Sentrol commercial passive infrared (PIR) electronics with the viewing capability of a Kalatel security camera. Wall- or corner-mounted, the PIR electronics detect objects in a 90° area up to 10,7 m away. Hidden within the unit is a camera with either a 3,6 or 5 mm pinhole lens.
The GBC's black-and-white camera delivers a resolution of 425 TV lines and a light sensitivity of 0,3 lux. The colour camera provides a resolution of 380 TV lines and a light sensitivity of 3 lux. The camera also features a high-speed electronic shutter that compensates for changing lighting conditions, from bright sunlight to dim outdoor lighting. In addition, it provides a backlight compensation circuit that prevents foreground objects from becoming silhouetted against bright backgrounds.
A plug-in power supply is included. A matching PIR-only unit is also available as is a camera-only model. The PIR discreet camera can be installed using easy-connect leads or an internal terminal strip. During installation, the LED can be enabled or disabled.
