KGUARD has launched a new line of security surveillance systems, the Aurora Series. The technology in this new range combines a user-friendly design, easy three-step installation and a host of features for comprehensive surveillance in the home or office.
Some notable features of the Aurora series include plug and play capabilities using a QR code for a simple three-step installation, the included 800 TVL auto-tracking camera with Wide Dynamic Range (WDR), an easy-to-use front touch panel on the DVR, push event notifications and access to the free KView QR app for Android and iPhone.
All DVRs in the Aurora range incorporate front panel touch technology for ease of operation and feature a stylish design that will complement any home or office décor. Using the latest H.264 compression recording technology, these DVRs deliver 960H recording resolution and full HD output with 1080P display standard, enabling the DVR to be connected to HD television screens.
Installation is simple and requires no network setup on the DVR or router. Simply plug the DVR into an Ethernet port, download the KViewQR app to your phone or tablet, and scan the QR code (which resembles a barcode) on your device, for instant, intuitive setup. These three simple steps will have your surveillance solution up and running in less than 90 seconds. The app works with any Android or iOS mobile device, enabling you to view loved ones or property from anywhere in the world quickly and easily.
Remote monitoring
The Aurora solution also includes free access to mykguard.com, a Web-based software solution that lets you monitor your home or business from anywhere with an Internet connection whether it be from your PC, notebook, smartphone or tablet. Transmitting at upward of seven frames per second, with the ability to adjust video resolution online, the solution consumes very low 3G or Wi-Fi bandwidth for smooth online video viewing.
Integrating with motion detection on KGUARD CCTV cameras, the DVRs enable push notifications to be sent as alarms whenever an intruder is detected, and users can also take advantage of live view and playback without disrupting recording. With support for Dropbox, the Aurora DVRs can store images in the cloud, ensuring they are always available and easy to share even if the DVR is damaged or stolen.
“Simply having surveillance is no longer enough – users now want a more proactive solution, which is why we have included free remote monitoring solutions and intelligent features such as push notifications with our DVRs. Other features like Dropbox integration, touch panel technology and simplified setup have all been designed to meet the changing needs of a constantly connected society,” Joseph Hsu, vice general manager of KGUARD.
Getting smart
The 800 TVL auto-tracking cameras in the kits can automatically detect moving objects within their field of view and focus these objects, effectively zooming in to make them larger and clearer to make it easier to see exactly what is going on. These cameras offer up to 30 m of night vision, even in total darkness, and also feature Wide Dynamic Range (WDR), which filters out intense backlight and eliminates shadows for a clearer picture.
The included 700 TVL cameras deliver up to 20 m night vision in total darkness. All cameras offer a 75-degree viewing angle and waterproof casings for enhanced protection against the elements, making them ideal for both indoor and outdoor placement.
The combo kits in the Aurora series both feature these latest DVRs with all of the abovementioned functionality. In addition, these kits include cameras, all necessary cables, power adaptors, a remote control, a USB mouse, a CD with all required software, and a quick installation guide, offering a complete all-in-one surveillance solution.
“Most home and small business users do not have the expertise to install a complicated CCTV surveillance solution. The Aurora series changes this – the solutions are all about ensuring users can set up their surveillance solution quickly and without complexity. With the combo kits, everything you need is included in one box, taking the guesswork away and ensuring users can enjoy the protection afforded by proactive remote monitoring and constant video coverage without the additional expense and time of hiring installation experts,” Hsu concludes.
The Aurora series is available immediately from resellers with a recommended retail price starting from R4899,00.
