Sonia Tshabalala has been appointed as national HR field solutions leader for ADT South Africa. She is an experienced HR generalist professional with a career that has spanned over 16 years within a number of industry sectors such as financial services, telecommunications and short term insurance.

Anton du Plessis

On behalf of the Board of Trustees of the Institute for Security Studies (ISS), executive director Jakkie Cilliers announced that Anton du Plessis has been appointed managing director of the ISS. Du Plessis has been acting executive director since February this year while Cilliers was on sabbatical to undertake a seven-month Fulbright Fellowship.

As MD, Du Plessis is responsible for the operational and substantive management of the ISS. Cilliers remains executive director with a focus on strategic oversight and external positioning of the ISS, and will work with Du Plessis on the development of new opportunities, strategic direction and innovation.
