The Cape Union Mart owned subsidiary and the country’s oldest uniforms supplier, Sparks & Ellis has announced the opening of its Johannesburg premises and the appointment of two additional sales people to service the Gauteng region.
Pontsho Chauke, who was previously with Old Mutual where she managed a team of eight reps, and Dolly Itumeleng, who has moved across from Cape Union Mart where she worked at managerial level at various branches, both join Sparks & Ellis as sales executives. They will report to manager, Carol Sikhosana, at the new Johannesburg branch. Sikhosana has been with the group for over five years and gained experience at store and head office level. The new team’s mission is to re-establish and reinforce the Sparks & Ellis brand in the northern region.
Sparks & Ellis’s MD, Sue de Wet explains: “The uniform market is becoming more diverse and complex all the time and we believe we need to be on the ground in Jozi for our many Gauteng clients. As a Cape based operation, we want to provide a more focused and dedicated service and, of course, we’re very excited about the opportunity to build our business in the Gauteng area.”
The new Sparks & Ellis showroom is just off Marlboro Drive.
