EduAdmin, a provider of education management software, has partnered with Controlsoft to provide schools with a seamless biometric solution to fast tuck-shop processing.
Integrating a billing management system with fingerprint biometrics is the solution to fast service at the tuck-shop. This resolves the problem of long queues and ensures all students get their lunch. Coupled with online payments where, inter alia, tuck-shop accounts can be topped up, the biometric approach has surfaced as the ideal solution.
Schools equip specialist rooms such as computer and science laboratories which need to be monitored. Controlling access to these rooms with specific access rights to individuals and groups of individuals and with logs of who is or was in the room at which time is essential for managing those assets.
EduAdmin also integrates a time and attendance database with fingerprint biometrics to monitor and control access and activity with an accurate audit trail. The database is linked to the time table and financial modules to log attendance at any level of detail including lessons, compulsory events and presence on school transport. Staff attendance is logged and can be linked to remuneration calculations, closing the time and attendance gap.
Schools are replacing card systems with fingerprint recognition as cards simply don’t work. The Morpho J Series biometric reader and MorphoSmart 300 Series fingerprint optical sensor ensure accurate identity recognition and response and have proved suitable for the school environment.
Controlsoft is a certified Ideco partner supplying MorphoAccess biometric products, software and system solutions in conjunction with EduAdmin in a seamless solution.
