As noted in a past issue of Hi-Tech Security Solutions, electric fence installers now need to have a certificate of compliance to ensure the work they do meets legislated standards. At IFSEC SA this year, Nemtek, local manufacturer of fencing and accessories, announced that it has been accredited as an electric fence trainer and assessor.
Nemtek GM, Ray Wilsenach confirmed that the company’s EWSETA accreditation number is NEgMT7ENER13061918, and its Training Material ETQA approval number is ENER-US-NEgMT-130619.
“In essence this means that Nemtek can now officially conduct training of the Unit Standards, as required by EWSETA,” explains Wilsenach. “Once a person has been trained, and assessed, they would then be in a position to submit application to Department of Labour, in order to issue Certificates of Compliance for Electric Fences.”
