Eric de Jager has been appointed as group operations director ADT Sub Saharan Africa. De Jager previously worked for UTi for over 13 years in courier before moving over to DHL Express to head its ground operations for South Africa. While at DHL he also ran the Air Operations functions for South Africa. His last designation was director of operations for Ground and Gateway in SSA, which entailed looking after operations in 51 countries on the continent.
“De Jager brings 19 years of operations experience to his new role. He will be responsible for a large part of our service delivery and his responsibilities will include, among others, the critical functions of armed response, contact centre, monitoring centre, fleet, training, health and safety, signal management, and residential guarding. In this role, de Jager will work and cooperate with various ADT functions including residential and small business, new business and other support functions,” says Danna Strydom, MD of ADT South Africa. “We believe De Jager is the prefect addition to the team and will use his experience to implement new processes and efficiencies within the operations departments,” concludes Strydom.
