PSS Distributors’ IPT Series AVR (automatic voltage regulator) is another product to assist in fixing all your voltage problems. This unit works for spikes, surges, dips, high and low voltages. The regulator will ensure the user receives an accurate and steady output voltage by means of a buck and boost system. A microprocessor is used to control and ensure the protection of your equipment.
The unit protects itself against overload by alarming a buzzer which will beep continuously once the output exceeds 120%, this prevents the user from overloading the unit. It also has an EMI/RFI noise filter to filter out electromagnetic and radio frequency interferences.
Output voltage is displayed on a voltage meter on the front panel. There are two LED indicators, one for power and the other indicates regulation. The input voltage range can be ±20% and the output will be within ±5% of the nominal voltage.
Installation is easy; you simply plug the unit into the wall socket and connect the equipment to the PSS AVR. The rear panel has four x IEC (kettle chord) output sockets. Surge protection is provided for the incoming mains. Two different types of sockets on the back panel provide RJ11 and RJ45 protection. These provide surge protection for your telephone and network lines.
