EST is about to welcome a new line of security products to its life safety family. This includes:
* The SIGA-MD passive infrared motion detector: an addressable device that connects to the Signature data circuit just like any other Signature module. It requires no additional power or wiring. Range, sensitivity and coverage pattern are all configurable at the device.
* The KPDISP keypad display: allows users to view fire and security events logged by the system and to execute limited control functions such as arming, disarming, bypassing and enabling devices. The display supports two different languages, which can be programmed to change depending on the password entered.
* The CRC card reader controller: installed inside a single doorway, the card reader interface monitors the Weigand output from two card readers. Accommodating up to 38 000 cardholders, the CRC can operate as a standalone device, or as part of the integrated system. The CRC makes all access decisions: there is no need to communicate with a central processor. This provides a high degree of survivability in the event of a loss of communications with the panel.
* FireWorks NT: an event-driven software package that provides detailed reporting and control functions for fire, security, access control and CCTV in one easy-to-use interface. Operating under the WindowsNT/2000 platform, FireWorks provides automatic prioritised reporting. Its four-quadrant display presents the user with clear and unambiguous perspectives that provide an at-a-glance summary of the event. It is available in multiple languages.
