Evolving Management Solutions (EMS), official southern African distributor for card access technology provider HID, has unveiled an entry level access control system that is scaleable to grow as required whilst protecting initial investment.
According to Steve Mason, Marketing Director at EMS, the single-door proximity access control system, EntryProx, is ideal for small or remote sites when used in conjunction with an on-line system.
"It can easily be modified to become an on-line reader by switching to a Wiegand output mode, allowing it to connect to any OEM controller. Additionally, it stores up to 2000 users and 1000 time-stamped transactions and is compatible with all existing HID proximity cards and keytags."
A detachable antenna module can be mounted up to three metres away from the control unit - inside or outside - and features a 12-position keypad for PIN entry or programming. Further features include door ajar and/or forced door conditions with alarm output relay and a press to exit pushbutton.
