Bekaert Bastion awarded contracts

Following the recent announcement of the joint venture between SA local steel wire company, Bastion Wire, and the world's largest steel wire manufacturer, Bekaert, the new company has been awarded new contracts including:

* 9 SAI military base: worth R3 million, Bekaert Bastion has supplied the perimeter fencing system for the Western Cape military base.

* Caledon prison: the company has supplied the 80% weld strength Bezinal-coated high security mesh material and system for the perimeter fencing of the prison to the value of R300 000.

* Club Mykonos Casino: Bekaert Bastion was awarded the contract to supply two kilometres of Bekaert Nylofor Medium fencing. The superb anti-corrosion properties of the fence coating makes it ideal for coastal developments such as the casino.
