A new distribution company, TeqTrader, has entered the South African security market. TeqTrader is a new division of Honeywell Southern Africa, reporting into Honeywell's Home and Building Controls, which is managed by Steve Shannon.
TeqTrader enters the market with a familiar range of products in the markets of alarm control panels, CCTV, intrusion detection, fire detection and access control. Frank Fowles, who heads up TeqTrader, is excited about the prospects of the new organisation. "TeqTrader offers a seamless accessibility to security and related products, through Honeywell and Ademco, which were acquired recently by GE for $45 bn. This provides TeqTrader customers instant access to the latest technology on the market."
TeqTrader is fully backed by Honeywell Southern Africa and will represent the full range of international brands, including FBII, Visonic, VisAccess, Position, HID, Honeywell Korea CCTV and Notifier. The company has branches in East London, Cape Town, Durban, Pretoria and Johannesburg.
