The D-V58/Cell is Video Domain Technologies' new MemoCam miniature DVR with cellular communication capabilities enabling notification via cellphone and/or e-mail whenever there is an event, with the option of JPEG images as attachments. Unveiled at IFSEC in Birmingham, the D-V58/Cell utilises existing cellular wireless infrastructure for quick and easy setup at affordable cost.
The D-V58/Cell fills a gap in off-site security and alarm notification and verification. The unit contains an advanced cellular module, enabling instant cellular outside communication when an event occurs. This makes it ideal for use in remote critical locations without any infrastructure (no power or physical means of communication available) where it can be used to monitor and protect property or valuable machinery, tools etc. When an event occurs the unit will send an alarm notification SMS and an off-site e-mail with a picture of the intruder or unauthorised visitor that the camera is monitoring.
The DVR has been developed using an advanced GPRS Class 12 cellular platform that is 15 times faster than regular GSM, ensuring high-speed transfer of images to the user over any GSM/GPRS network in the world. The solution covers 900/1800/1900 frequencies enabling flexibility and universal usage. It also enables image encryption for secure transmission of information.
The integrated advanced VMD allows for recording only events of interest, reducing required storage space and enabling recorded events to be stored on removable SD cards up to 2 GB in size.
The Memocam range is distributed by Emergency Reaction Services.
