Eurolux has launched a day-night sensor CFL with a sensor on either side to detect changing light conditions no matter where the lamp is situated, thus ensuring its efficient and effective use.
"This day-night sensor is extremely energy efficient," says Shaun Bouchier, director of Eurolux, importers of a wide range of lamps and light fittings, "and it can be used both indoors and outdoors."
Exterior applications include pillar lanterns, and perimeter bulkheads. These lamps can also be used as security lights in entrance halls and table lamps. "Unlike timers, they are sensitive to seasons," explains Bouchier, "so if you arrive home late, you can be confident that your day-night sensor will switch on at the appropriate time."
The day-night sensor CFL has a 20-30 second delay to allow the electronics to adjust to light conditions. It will also energise and de-energize during the first night of installation as it adjusts to conditions and sets its parameters.
