Eagle Technology has made available its E-AP800, a high resolution day/night camera with integrated optical zoom lens.
The camera features a 260x zoom (26x optical; 10x digital) with auto iris and auto focus.
For low light applications the camera has two modes: a day/night mode when the camera switches from colour to B/W below 1 lux; and a slow shutter mode which slows the camera's exposure time to allow colour images in lower lighting conditions.
Other features include backlight compensation, automatic gain control and DSPenhanced circuitry. This camera is ideal for housings with minimum space as well as applications which require a fixed camera with greater than 50 mm focal length.
This includes covert medium-to-long range observation. For applications which require infra-red illumination, the camera is compatible with a range of IR illuminators.
Another advantage of this camera is that due to its autofocus lens, the camera automatically adjusts its focus for the infra-red light. For short range use, the camera has integrated IR LEDs which can be used to cover up to 5 metres. For longer range use, it has illuminators for distances from 5 metres to 300 metres.
An on-screen-display menu and a handy remote allows complete control over camera functions including zoom in and out, and focus adjustment.
