Expanding its line-up of network-ready video monitoring solutions, Sony has released its next-generation of Real Shot Manager (RSM) IP video monitoring software.
The software has an intuitive user-friendly graphical interface with flexible recording/playback capability, dynamic masking, activity detection, pan/tilt/zoom capabilities and enhanced alarm functions.
In addition to its sophisticated monitoring capabilities, the software incorporates a server/client architecture, and allows users to configure a highly scalable system to meet specific application requirements. The system enables virtually an unlimited number of cameras to be monitored and controlled from a remote location anywhere in the world.
"Version 2.1 of our RSM software expands the capabilities for networked surveillance and monitoring operations, and makes it easier than ever to administer a complete digital video monitoring system," says Will Klopper, product manager at Sony Business SA. "The new software can be installed on a rack-mountable server, making it easy and more efficient to control by an IT administrator."
RSM Version 2.1 supports Sony's IP addressable network cameras as well as analogue cameras with video network server adapters and is built on the features of the previous version which includes control for up to 32 cameras, schedule/alarm recordings, pan/tilt/zoom control and customised layout.
