Following the successful launch of MobileBio in June, Beget has announced that they are on a national drive to expand the distribution and dealer channel for the biometrics product.
"MobileBio is the world's first fingerprint identification system with realtime access control via GPRS," says Andre Potgieter, managing director of Beget Holdings. The wireless solution, which uses Sony fingerprint technology, requires no swipe cards, cables, scanners, software or supporting computer hardware, reducing IT investment costs and eliminating complex installations.
Beget believes the biometrics market is extremely lucrative and is maturing fast. The company says it will provide nationwide technical and call centre support, as well as complete data recovery.
"We have already negotiated distributorship in parts of Europe, Africa and Australasia," concludes Potgieter.
