As of 1 July, Honeywell Security's range of products will be officially branded as Honeywell.
"Honeywell is one of the most recognised and respected brands in the world," says Ben Cornett, president of Honeywell Security. "From now on, our keypads and all of our other security products will be emblazoned with the distinctive Honeywell logo, enabling our customers to leverage the positive global brand identity of Honeywell." The process of changing the logo on products and faceplates has already begun and will continue in the coming months.
The branding strategy will be implemented by nearly all of Honeywell Security's manufacturing businesses, which is comprised of four units:
* Security and custom electronics: Security and fire controls, alarm communication services, sensors and structured wiring and home networking products.
* Video systems: Digital video and CCTV systems and components, including equipment for specialised applications, and financial and retail transaction verification systems.
* Access systems: Access control products for applications ranging from small multidoor systems to enterprise-wide, networked systems containing thousands of entry points.
* Security international: Intrusion, access control and video surveillance products and systems for global markets, outside of the Americas.
