T-Rex exit detection from DSC

Accurate and fast, the T-Rex is equipped with a combination of features providing a complete solution to exit detection and door surveillance for access control applications.

This cutting edge passive infrared (PIR) motion sensor is innovative and powerful and offers the desired convenience. The T-Rex comes fitted with a 90 dB local door alarm sounder. It is hands-free - no buttons to push - and unlocks or shunts the door automatically, while the zone of detection is easily adjustable with pinpoint accuracy.

The T-Rex is the first detector to offer X-Y Targeting, a revolutionary feature that provides accurate detection and added security. Rather than offering adjustments of the detection pattern with masking or horizontal alignment, through X-Y Targeting, the T-Rex is able to target a specific area of detection utilising vertical detection targeting with two adjustable louvres located in the detection chamber. Installers can now 'trim' the area of detection by adjusting these louvers from 90° to a minute 5°. Horizontal adjustment is provided by rotation of the lens. These two adjustment methods allow the detector to be mounted so that the detection area will not 'hit' the floor along the doorjamb - a significant feature that defeats attempts to circumvent the door surveillance. With digital signal processing (DSP), the T-Rex is designed to detect extremely quick movements making it the fastest detector on the market.
