June 2003 Surveillance

The BDR (Bitron digital recorder) is available in 4, 8 and 16 channel units and is an affordable multichannel video surveillance system assembled in South Africa. It uses Bitron's own unique proven realtime MJPEG Algorithm encoding technology combined with state-of-the-art security and surveillance techniques to deliver an all digital solution.

The BDR is capable of simultaneous display; record and playback referred to as 'Triplex' functionality.

The system supports PAL, NTSC and is available in a 19" rack mountable housing. The system supports a network interface card and modem for remote access. The system can be accessed via ISDN, PSTN, LAN and WAN, using Bitron proprietary remote software.

MJPEG used by BDR allows one to capture large amounts of high quality video data that can easily be stored, archived and browsed.
