After winning award recognition at the Security Industry Association's new product showcase, the UF500 infrared illuminator by Extreme CCTV has been adopted by Richardsons Electronics and other leading distributors in North America.
"The UF500 has been recognised in Europe as this industry's most effective infrared illuminator for years," says Larry Doan, Sales Manager. "Recent utilisation by the US Army, DEA, National Guard and by systems integrators have driven the demand from leading technology distributors such as Richardsons, Silmar, Elcor, APD and Tri-Ed."
The patent-applied UF500 Series of IR lamps uniquely provides evenly distributed infrared light from foreground to a background up to 200 m away. Other types of IR lights will typically provide poor, spotty, too intense and/or inadequate illumination. The UF500 works best with infrared sensitive CCD cameras and requires only 200 W to efficiently outperform 500 W illuminators made by others.
