Among its intrusion detection products, Senstar-Stellar recently highlighted Perimitrax at ISC West. Perimitrax, a covert, perimeter intrusion detection sensor, generates an invisible field around its buried sensor cables, detecting approaching objects. Each buried cable has a large, volumetric detection field that detects moving targets based on their electrical conductivity size and movement. If an intruder disturbs this field, usually 1 m high and up to 3 m wide, an alarm is declared.
The system has a low false alarm rate and rules out any small animals, birds and foliage from 'tripping' the alarm. Perimitrax can be laid in soil, asphalt or concrete without disturbing the aesthetics of the site.
