Pro-Tech Advanced System Integrators, in conjunction with Falcon Security Technologies, has launched the new Foot Operated Door Opener (FODO), aimed at assisting in the creation of touchless ‘hands-free’ access control solutions.
Used in conjunction with touchless electronic access control systems like face scanners, palm readers, no-touch door release units and Prox card access control systems, FODO enables doors to be physically opened by using one’s foot, rather than having to touch possibly contaminated door handles. Although ideally suited for electronic access controlled doors, the FODO has been specifically designed to fit any type of door that does not have a manual latch, whether manufactured from wood, steel or glass.
With both accredited installers and the DIY handyman in mind, the FODO is easy to install and comes packaged as a complete ‘solution in a box’, with foot plate, backing plate, S/S fasteners, drilling template and door sticker all included. The FODO is manufactured from stainless steel and is available in plain stainless steel or various powder-coated colours, and can be used both indoors and outdoors.
FODO is available to end users and, with discounted pricing, to resellers. Customers may also order custom units with their company logos emblazoned on the base plate.
