DVTEL introduces new analytics and 4K

1 November 2014 Surveillance

DVTEL has announced the release of its new ioimage HD CF-5222 (2.1MP HD 1080p) and CF-5212 (1.3MP HD 720p) cameras, which bring military-grade video analytics and Quasar HD broadcast-quality IP video together for critical infrastructure protection.

The ioimage HD cameras include the benefits of DVTEL’s Quasar high-resolution, low-bandwidth and minimised and predictable storage and are optimised for outdoor and low-light conditions. The cameras also deliver intelligent video analytics to increase the probability of detection and lower false alarm rates. Both the 1080p and the 720p models offer increased detection distance, which means fewer cameras are needed to cover the same area. The ioimage HD cameras can detect intrusions, including regional entrance, tripwire and fence trespassing, as well as unattended baggage, object removal, stopped vehicle, loitering and camera tampering detection capabilities.

The ioimage HD camera offers high-sensitivity 2.1MP HD 1080p or 1.3MP HD 720p resolution with true WDR (multi-exposure) and integrated high-end analytic performance. The cameras are DVTEL’s first HD cameras that include ioimage analytics. Both offer HD picture quality under low light and high-contrast WDR conditions, and are capable of dealing with the most extreme outdoor perimeter lighting conditions encountered in surveillance applications. DVTEL’s ioimage video analytics line, targeted at the remote monitoring, critical infrastructure and perimeter security markets, is a fast-growing segment of the total video surveillance solution offered by DVTEL.

“With the combined Quasar HD and ioimage analytics technology, the new ioimage HD cameras take video surveillance and security to a whole new level,” said Maor Mishkin, DVTEL product champion of video analytics. “The ioimage HD cameras provide our customers with the best possible security resources for their organisation’s critical infrastructure to ensure reliability and scalability for years to come. The cameras are supported on all DVTEL VMS lines and have ONVIF support for ease of integration with third-party VMS platforms.”

Additionally, the ioimage HD camera’s integrated Web interface offers easy, intuitive deployment of the camera and analytic behaviour, which reduces installation time and manpower requirements.

DVTEL adds 4K

DVTEL has also announced its new Quasar 4K Ultra HD Camera line, a core component of the 'DVTEL 4K Certified Solutions'. The camera line will consist of advanced mini-dome and bullet form factors.

The DVTEL Quasar 4K Ultra HD Cameras deliver technology that sets a new industry evidentiary quality standard. Employing a state of the art, broadcast quality Ultra HD media processor, the cameras deliver four times more detail at full 30 fps than today’s best HD 1080 cameras and also more detail than legacy 10MP. The full DVTEL Quasar Camera line already delivers the most cost-effective storage options in the market, typically 60% less than comparable solutions.

The Quasar 4K Cameras build on this cost cutting efficiency by using the most advanced 4K Ultra HD media processor, providing pristine imagery at an industry leading 250M pixels per second while using 30% less storage than many competitive HD1080 solutions. The 4K models also introduce the most advanced low light 4K image sensor ever introduced to the video surveillance industry making them the perfect solution for a wide variety of indoor and outdoor applications. The cameras are also vandal resistant designs with integrated IR illumination.

“With the latest DVTEL 4K Certified Solutions, DVTEL is raising the technology stakes and providing end users with cutting-edge, ultra-HD capabilities at a significant cost savings,” said Ed Thompson, DVTEL CTO. “Our 4K technology is not just the latest HD resolution; it’s a new mainstream evidentiary standard – and DVTEL is at the helm of this innovation. We provide the easiest, most affordable 4K evidentiary solutions. DVTEL offers solution-driven products to end users, resulting in a greater return on investment.”

DVTEL 4K Certified Solutions provide an end-to-end family of products optimised to work intuitively and seamlessly with 4K technology and ultimately lower the total cost of ownership. The DVTEL Ultra HD Performance Optimizer offers drag-and-drop simplicity, while the system automatically selects the highest live and evidentiary detail on any display surface at the lowest CPU usage. In addition, DVTEL 4K cameras offer better forensic zoom details on both traditional lower resolution displays and 4K monitors, which are becoming more cost effective as technology adoption increases.
