Tripp Lite, a manufacturer of power protection products, is offering a free 500 W line conditioner bundled with every SmartPro UPS purchased until 31 December 2001.
Uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems such as the SmartPro UPS provide battery backup to connected equipment when AC power fails. They also protect against damaging surges on the AC line, even those caused by lightning. SmartPro UPS systems offer protection with two-way serial port communication, which works with free PowerAlert software to allow connected computers to save open files and shut themselves down during extended blackouts, even when unattended. Select models have multiple serial ports that enable them to communicate over a network and shut down several computers at once.
Local customers who purchase any SmartPro UPS system will receive a free bundled LS504ID line conditioner. Designed specifically for brownout conditions, the LS504ID automatically adjusts incoming high or low voltage to nominal 230 V a.c. without a battery. Two BS546 outlets also provide spike and line noise filtering. The LS504ID is covered by a two-year limited warranty.
