Microprocessor-based communication

June 2010 Perimeter Security, Alarms & Intruder Detection

The CP120 GSM Dialler and Real Time GPRS Transmitter is a universal microprocessor-based communication device capable of simulating a telephone line (PSTN), offering secure redundancy transmissions of contact ID (DTMF) or SIA (FSK) protocols via four transmission channels: PSTN VOICE/GSM/GPRS/SMS.

Should the telephone line fail or by selecting the appropriate dialling prefix, the CP120 is able to perform voice calls to a monitoring station allowing the transfer of DTMF or FSK data from the control panel to the monitoring station. In fact the CP120 transmitter will complete a voice call using the GSM channel when no fixed telephone line is available making this device the ideal solution in areas where no fixed telephone lines are available.

To further ensure that no data transmissions are lost the CP120 allows the use of general packet radio service (GPRS) for data transmissions. The advanced 256 AES (Advanced Encryption Standard) encoding method provides secure data transmission of all events to the OSM2007 server application. The benefit of using the GPRS channel of the CP120 not only allows for complete redundancy monitoring required for commercial and industrial applications but also reduces the alarm system monitoring costs.

The CP120 SMS test message facility allows end user reporting and control functionality of two onboard relays via private mobile phones controlling two relays.

Programming of CP120 is possible locally on laptop or PC using the 'GPRS transmitter configuration' software, remotely, via GPRS connection and the OSM2007 server or via SMS commands. The CP120 is compatible with most alarm control panels and available from all Regal branches countrywide.
