Ifsec goes global

October 2007 News & Events

Recognising the wealth of business opportunities present in India’s rapidly developing and largely unpenetrated fire and security solutions sector, Ifsec India has been developed specifically for India and the neighbouring regions. Taking place from 25 to 27 October at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, India, Ifsec India will cater for a worldwide audience of security buyers and specifiers and cover all aspects of the security market, including the police and paramilitary sectors. Ifsec India will bring together the most innovative security providers face-to-face with thousands of high-quality visitors from all over the region.

The event will combine Ifsec’s 35 years of experience in the security industry, and CMP Asia’s knowledge of the local market to provide an event that will cater for the needs of security professionals throughout the South Asian region. As well as numerous feature areas within the exhibition, the show will also include a comprehensive educational programme with a host of free seminar sessions and two conferences covering the hottest security topics from a variety of angles.

The Indian Chapter of the Asian Professional Security Association (APSA) will be holding its 14th Annual International Conference at Ifsec India, under the title, ‘Security On Tap: Technology for a Safer Tomorrow’. Attracting over 250 delegates from all across Asia, the conference will present a detailed overview of modern security practices and technologies and will address current security threats and perceptions. A wide range of topics will be covered including: corporate security, risk analysis, the Police & Private Security Partnership, security arrangements for the Commonwealth Games 2010, integration of physical security and electronic security systems, aviation security, the Private Security Regulatory Act 2007, surveillance, and crisis and disaster management.

Ifsec India has attracted some of the world’s leading security manufacturers, distributors and suppliers, to become ‘Foundation Partners’ of this brand new event. Among these companies are HID, G4S Security Services (UK), Alba Urmet, Siemens and Vista, all of whom will be exhibiting and lending their support to the event.

The event has gained the support of the Bureau of Police Research & Development (BPRD), Indian Chapter of the Asian Professional Security Association (APSA) and ASIS International – New Delhi Chapter 207.
