After announcing the launch of its franchise business opportunity last year (https://www.securitysa.com/61103n), Cam Era has announced the signing of its first franchisee. The new company, Cam Era Germiston will soon be set to provide video verification to customers in its region of operation.
Franchise owner, Bill Sandham says the whole franchise operation is designed to deliver value to the end customer. He therefore developed a ‘business-in-a box’ approach that removes the burdensome admin tasks, such as logistics, cash-flow, purchasing stock, vehicles and fuel, petty cash, tools, employing staff, renting property and so on, allowing franchisees to focus on their customers.
Using Videofied verification technology, which runs off batteries to ensure it is Eskom proof, Cam Era also uses Macado Technologies as a national remote monitoring and service operation. He adds that currently there are over 2200 customers connected to the Macado control room; customers that will not revert to the traditional blind alarm and response methodologies.
Cam Era had its first franchisee training and induction programme in March in Pretoria.
