Effective security is not really possible without some form of verification and detection system. Today’s intruders will wait for hours and sometimes days, testing the security systems and processes on a company’s property or estates, security guards will become complacent after several seemingly false alarm which are set off.
When it comes to manpower, even with zoned electric fenced areas and the response time is excellent, by the time the security guard reaches the area the intruders could be anywhere on the property. It is imperative that security guards are warned ahead of time when the intruders reach the perimeter wall. The use of thermal imaging cameras with the video analytics built in, will create a virtual barrier, which will detect an intruder approaching and send off an alert as to the movement in the area.
The use of thermal cameras together with the AcoustAlert creates a double knock which would inform guards that there is in fact an intruder that is going through both barriers. This will eliminate the amount of false alarms which are set off.
Nobody is able to monitor a screen for a long period of time during the 12 hour shifts, and it is important that the thermal camera as well as the AcoustAlert detection systems work together and are set up with an alarm if both are set off for guards to take action.
