Grundig Security has announced the inclusion of panomorph technology, from ImmerVision, in its 6 MP Fisheye, day/night camera. The high performance, panoramic camera provides a 360° view, making it ideal for overview applications in retail, garage forecourt, public space, residential and reception areas.
Grundig’s panomorph camera offers exceptional image quality, using a 6 megapixel CMOS sensor with 360° and 180° viewing options at up to 25 fps. The camera uses ImmerVision Enables built-in de-warping software, the new 360° video standard, which corrects panomorph lens image distortion. The panomorph camera lens design allocates more pixels to critical areas of its view than a standard fisheye camera, such as those containing people or vehicles. It operates equally well in demanding lighting conditions, due to its 0.2 / 0.02 Lux sensitivity and integrated IR LED illuminators. Further image enhancement technologies include digital wide dynamic range (WDR), digital noise reduction (DNR) and backlight compensation (BLC).
The 360° view eliminates blind spots, capturing all site incidents, in a cost-effective, single camera solution. When used in combination with fixed cameras, this cutting edge panomorph camera helps to provide optimal site coverage with fewer cameras. Privacy zone settings for restricted areas are also included.
The ImmerVision de-warped video streams can be used with NVRs and more than 50 leading video management software platforms. The camera can be set up to provide operators with 1, 2 or 4 video streams or the 360° or 180° panoramic view.
A built-in SD/SDHC/SDXC memory card slot allows alarm and scheduled recording to take place in the camera and bi-directional audio offers additional incident intervention capabilities. Electronic pan, tilt and zoom functionality, in live or record modes, provides simultaneous detailed and overview images.
