Arecont Vision has launched its new generation of all-in-one SurroundVideo G5 panoramic multi-sensor megapixel cameras. New models include the 5 MP SurroundVideo G5 with STELLAR (Spatio Temporal Low Light Architecture) technology and remote focus P-iris lenses. Both standard and smaller form factor versions of 12 MP and 20 MP SurroundVideo G5 cameras have also been added, each with double the frame rate of previous models. This is the company’s fifth generation of multi-sensor panoramic camera systems.
The SurroundVideo G5 camera series delivers 180° and 360° wide area coverage and strong financial benefits. “Panoramic multi-sensor megapixel cameras continue to gain traction as the go-to solution for wide area surveillance as a result of their performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency,” said Brad Donaldson, director of product management, Arecont Vision.
The new 5 MP SurroundVideo G5 Panoramic Camera features STELLAR Low Light Technology for colour imaging in extreme low light conditions. The camera features fast frame rates, while P-iris lenses optimise iris position for better imaging, and remote focus simplifies set-up and adjustments.
The standard form factor model offers P-iris lenses and remote focus, plus double the frame rate of previous models.
Additional features include dual H.264 (MPEG-4 Part 10) and MJPEG encoders, privacy masking, and extended motion detection with 1 024 zones per channel. 12 MP and 20 MP models offer pixel binning for increased sensitivity in low light applications. SurroundVideo G5 cameras also feature an IP66-rated environmental housing and a polycarbonate bubble that is IK-10 rated impact-resistant.
