Came Group has strengthened its market share in the large public-space-management sector with the acquisition of the Spanish group Parkare – the parking technology and parking meter specialist.
The deal will join the two groups, both of which can boast proven track records in the power-driven operator and parking-system management sectors.
The Parkare group, established in 1980 sells sustainable mobility products and solutions. It employs 221 people in Spain and indirectly-owned branch offices in France, the United Kingdom, Chile, Mexico and Peru and distributes its products in 20 countries through various partnerships.
“The Parkare acquisition,” stated Sir Paolo Menuzzo, president of Came Group, “is a new stepping stone in our diversification and consolidation strategy and began in 2004 with the acquisition of Urbaco, which today is considered one of the gems of the large-public-space management sector. This deal, which joins two strongly service-oriented outfits, will enable us to develop new strategies and synergies for growth to further consolidate our leading role in international markets.”
