Duxbury Networking has released a new high-speed, programmable, networked, Internet Protocol (IP) dome camera from its principal, ACTi Corporation.
With a weatherproof and vandalproof enclosure, the ACTi model I96 is a ruggedised unit targeted at surveillance applications in airports, stadia, casinos, ports and other areas where the ability to follow moving objects at a distance and identify fine detail even in low light or darkness is crucial.
With true day/night compatibility providing support for infrared (IR) video, and superior low light sensitivity (SLLS) functionality – provided by a low light sensor that enhances video quality with minimal natural light – the two megapixel camera covers a wide dynamic range.
Additional features include electronic image stabilisation (EIS) and an auto focus 30x zoom lens. A full optical zoom, from one to 30x, takes just 2,87 seconds while a flip function electronically inverts the image 180° when following an object moving under the dome.
The ACTi I96 can be remotely controlled manually or preset to monitor 256 points. It can be programmed to cover 10 preset tours in auto-scan mode.
The unit’s motion detection function automatically tracks a moving person or vehicle within three pre-programmed zones. This feature includes an optional automatic email notification response with snapshot attachments.
