Schneider Electric has announced that an interface for its IP video management system, Pelco Endura, is now available to its southern African clients. The interface enables professional audio to meet professional video and is designed for a wide range of applications to suit most solutions, such as parking, transport, industrial and building control systems.
Julian Moss, product manager for Pelco security products in South Africa and the SADC at Schneider Electric, says that the interface is fully integrated with the Pelco Endura system to provide alarm queuing with video stacks. “The linking software makes preview monitors for full alarm auditing, pre- and post-alarm action a reality. Advantageously, since it is licensed and embedded in the Intercom Server, no third-party conversion software is required,” adds Moss.
Further features and highlights include full video coverage, which is available due to the ability to auto-call presets, and allows pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ) cameras to be activated as part of an alarm sequence. Also, separate audio priority alarm signals from the Intercom Server can be processed without interrupting the video feed.
“The video management system, Pelco Endura, combined with the Commend Control Desk solutions, puts unified audio and video communication at the fingertips of the control desk.
