Besam door equipment from Pedestrian Door Solutions (PDS) specialists, ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems located west of Johannesburg, Gauteng, delivered entrance solutions for the Dimension Data Campus office park.
The customer required an upgrade and extension of the original manual doors to automated sliding doors linked to the existing access control system to all the existing entrances. The Besam solution consists of a Besam unislide Bi-Parting sliding door format.
According to André Aiton, ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems MD, “The doors open and close when required, thus saving energy. They are user-friendly as during the day they open with radars for heavy traffic, while an access control system is used to gain access after-hours.” Aiton adds that this also increases security.
