Annual SIA conference and banquet

The Security Industry Alliance (SIA) will again host its conference on the Future of the Private Security Industry in September. The conference is aimed at providing delegates with credible insight into the current as well as future challenges facing the private security industry. The conference will be held on 6 September 2012 at The Wanderers Club, 21 North Street, Illovo.

The presentations will include the following topics:

* Wage negotiations,

* Industry database,

* Provident fund,

* SASSETA,

* PSIRA,

* Mid-management training,

* Management studies,

* Training providers, and

* ESIA.

Crime Prevention Banquet

The SIA Crime Prevention Banquet will be held on the night before the conference and incorporate the Crime Prevention Awards. The awards have been expanded to three categories, guarding, AIT and response to cater for the wider industry. Nominations for the awards close on 30 July 2012.
