SAQCC Fire was established in 1999 and is currently celebrating its 25th anniversary. It is mandated by the Department of Employment and Labour to register competent and authorised persons working with portable fire extinguishers, as well as those working in fire detection and gas suppression. SAQCC fire is an industry-elected body established to register those individuals working in the fire industry to ensure they have the appropriate competence through training, qualifications and experience. Our theme for this year is to “Extinguish the fly by nights”, thus leading to safer working practices.
