Johnson Controls has launched the new Tyco LFII Residential 5.8K Concealed Pendent Sprinkler for the protection of homes, apartments, dormitories, hotels and other residential buildings. The sprinkler’s increased 5,8 K-factor features improved hydraulic performance compared to other residential models to help more efficiently protect 5,5-by-5,5 metre and 6-by-6 metre rooms.
The Tyco LFII 5.8K Residential Concealed Pendent Sprinkler is available in both ordinary 68°C and intermediate 93°C temperature configurations. The sprinkler and coverplate assembly provide a sleek, concealed aesthetic while allowing for adjustment by up to 19,1 mm, which provides additional flexibility for contractors performing installations.
“Our team designed the new LFII residential sprinkler around two key attributes that are most important to customers: installation flexibility and performance,” said Anna Khanova, global vice president, product management, Johnson Controls. “The value of the flexibility during installation reduces labour and material costs. The superior hydraulic performance means this sprinkler is more efficient at suppressing fire hazards in larger residential rooms.”
The Tyco LFII Residential 5.8K Concealed Pendent Sprinkler is intended for use in wet pipe sprinkler systems for one- and two-family dwellings, residential buildings up to four stories in height and residential portions of any occupancy per NFPA 13, 13D and 13R. It features a maximum working pressure of 175 psi (12,1 bar).
